Adult Spiritual Growth
There are a variety of groups at Holy Spirit tailored to a range of special interests and demographics.
Fellowship
Christians United For Fellowship
Social gatherings are a wonderful part of our lives together. In addition to fellowship during Sunday worship, we welcome the congregation to join in adult as well as family-centered events.
Adults enjoy events such as Trivia Night, Wine & Cheese Pairing, Oktoberfest, St. Patrick's Day Celebration and Holy Spirit Night Out at local restaurants and taverns.

Prayer Group

Each Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 10:00 am we gather in the prayer to lift up members of our community in need of God’s presence, direction, and healing.

We use this time to deepen our own prayer practices and explore a variety of different styles and formats. We also pray for petitions submitted by members of the congregation, as well as members who are celebrating birthdays.
Thursday Bible Study 10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
This class meets every Thursday morning from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Over the course of the year we study various books of the Bible, contemporary theologians, our Lutheran roots, and current issues as they impact our lives.
In February we will begin a new unit on the book of James. Although Luther criticized the book of James for its focus on works, because Luther claimed a person is not justified by works but by faith alone, the book of James is a powerful witness in its practical wisdom of right behavior. As a kind of wisdom literature, James is concerned with morals and ethics, and is committed to an understanding of reality as measured by God. With so many "worldly" views in our conversations today, James can lead us to live humbly and respectfully toward God.
Join us for some spirited discernment and joy-filled conversation! We always close our time in prayer.
