Adult Spiritual Growth
There are a variety of groups at Holy Spirit tailored to a range of special interests and demographics.
Prayer Group

Each Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 10:00 am we gather in the prayer to lift up members of our community in need of God’s presence, direction, and healing.

We use this time to deepen our own prayer practices and explore a variety of different styles and formats. We also pray for petitions submitted by members of the congregation, as well as members who are celebrating birthdays.
Fellowship
Christians United For Fellowship
Social gatherings are a wonderful part of our lives together. In addition to fellowship during Sunday worship, we welcome the congregation to join in adult as well as family-centered events.
Adults enjoy events such as the Progressive Dinner, Beef and Lobster Night, the Chili Cookoff and evenings at Ravinia.

Thursday Bible Study 10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
Thursday Bible Study resumes September 5th. In September we will begin studying the book by New York Times bestselling author Jim Wallis, "The False White Gospel".
Wallace is Georgetown University's director of its Center on Faith and Justice, and has served on the White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and has been named as one of the 500 most influential people shaping policy in Washington D.C. Join us for some spirited discernment and conversation! We always close our time together in prayer.
ExPOS
EXperienced People of Spirit
All retirees are encouraged to join us for good conversation and a lot of laughs. We go on various outings such as the Botanical Garden, listen to guest speakers and celebrate holidays such as Valentine's Day and Christmas.
We try to meet monthly with our Pastor, during an informal brown bag lunch on the second Tuesday of each month.
